New Resaca Middle School

New Resaca Middle School – Opening Fall 2023

This Fall, the new Resaca Middle School campus will open for the 2023-2024 school year. The campus, located just off FM 511 at Rancho Alto Dr., will serve portions of the communities of Los Fresnos, Brownsville, and Olmito. The campus will has the capacity to 1,200 students. It is composed of six buildings that include: an academic building, cafeteria/band hall, gymnasium and athletics building. The new middle school will serve students from Olmito, Rancho Verde, and Villareal elementary schools. Construction began in January 2022 and is wrapping up completion just in time for the 2023-2024 school year.

Right now, 2,400 students in grades six through eight are spread over three middle schools in the Los Fresnos CISD.

Other projects that have been completed include new all-weather tracks for Liberty Memorial Middle School and Los Fresnos United. In addition, the Los Fresnos United master campus plan is in the final stages of completion.
