"The principal of service above self is fundamental to everything I believe.  It is important to give back to your community.  My service on the school board is a way for me to give back to a district that gave so much to me.  I see it as an opportunity to serve as an advocate for each child in our community.  In serving our children and providing them with the highest quality education, we are empowering them in a way that can affect generations.  We are giving them tools that no one can take away.  To be part of that is exciting. To be part of the school board that contributes to that is humbling."
