District History
The Los Fresnos Consolidated Independent School District spans approximately 487 square miles and currently serves more than 10,400 students. The district includes one high school serving grades 11–12, one campus for grades 9–10, one alternative campus, three middle schools, and nine elementary schools. With continued residential growth throughout the area, Los Fresnos CISD is thoughtfully planning to meet the needs of both current and future students.
In recent years, the district has made significant investments in facilities and student opportunities. Much of this new construction was completed in phases as part of the 2021 Bond program, along with local funding sources. Projects include the new Resaca Middle School, a state-of-the-art Performing Arts Center with seating for more than 1,000 guests to support our Fine Arts programs, and a modern Career and Technical Education (CTE) Center. The CTE Center provides hands-on learning experiences in manual trades, agriculture, medical sciences, and other high-demand career fields, giving students valuable real-world skills.
Through careful planning and strong community support, Los Fresnos CISD continues to grow while maintaining its commitment to providing outstanding educational opportunities for every student.
