Child Nutrition Office

The Los Fresnos CISD Child Nutrition Services Office operates under the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and is administered by the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA).

Los Fresnos CISD Child Nutrition Services staff carefully analyzes menus to ensure that one-fourth of the Recommended Dietary Allowances (RDAs) are met for breakfast, and one-third are met for lunch.

Students can expect a menu that is balanced and healthy, and offers a variety of foods for differing tastes. An assortment of salads as well as fresh fruit and whole grains are a few of the options for health conscious students.

SFE Partnership

SFE logoLos Fresnos CISD partners with Southwest Food Excellence (SFE) to enhance their existing Child Nutrition Program. SFE provides healthy delicious options for our students at both breakfast and lunch services. A child's nutrition plays an essential role in learning development every day. Together with SFE, we will offer healthy and nutritious options for our students helping them create a foundation on how to make smart meal-time decisions.
