UIL Academic District 32-6A Title Returns to LFHS

The Los Fresnos High School UIL Academics team is celebrating after capturing UIL Academics District 32-6A title. The team scored 507.5 points to beat out seven other schools at the 2022 District meet held at Los Fresnos High School on March 26.  Harlingen High School finished second with 261.5 points and Harlingen South High School came in third with 258 points.

The competition returned to full speed following a pod-based structure last year to respect social distancing guidelines.  This year there were twenty-five individual categories and fourteen team categories.

A total of nineteen LFHS students placed in the top three spots in the individual competition to advance to the Regionals. In the team categories, three LFHS teams won the District championship and will also move forward.

The winners will now head to Regional meet set for the University of Texas - San Antonio (UTSA) Campus on April 22-23.
