The registration deadline for the Los Fresnos CISD Summer Jumpstart program open to students in grades Pre-K to 5 has been extended to Friday, April 30.
The at-home online program will consist of fun reading and math activities that will help students with skills that may have been difficult to understand during the school year. There will also be a few science and social studies discovery activities embedded in the grade-level lessons.
Students will be provided with a hard copy of books in grades PK-2 as well as novels in grades 3-5 that will be theirs to keep. They will also be given a manipulatives kit for math and other activities.
There will be virtual, pre-recorded lessons and activities released for five summer weeks (June 21-July 19) which will include parent guides in case lessons are completed sooner.
