Los Fresnos CISD staff is ready to welcome our students back to campus for the 2026-2027 school year on Tuesday, August 18th.
The district and campuses are ready to help you get prepared for the upcoming school year! Here are some important dates:
Back to School Community and Safety Fair:
The Los Fresnos CISD Family Engagement Department will host a Community and Safety Fair on Thursday, August 6th at the Los Fresnos High School from 6-8 p.m.
Elementary School Meet the Teacher Round-Up: All elementary campuses will host Meet the Teacher Round-Ups on Friday, August 14th. The campuses will be open to parents and students from 2-4 p.m. Contact your campus for more information.
Middle School Meet the Teacher Night: All students and their parents are invited to meet their teachers, pick up their schedules, and walk through campus on Thursday, August 13th at the following times:
- 6th Grade: 4:00-5:00 p.m.
- 7th & 8th Grade: 5:00-6:00 p.m.
High School:
Los Fresnos United Freshman Camp and Sophomore Schedule Pick-Up: All freshmen and sophomores are strongly encouraged to attend orientation and schedule pick-up. The following are the dates and times for each:
Freshman (9th) Camp – Friday August 7th
- Last Names A-F: 8:30 a.m.-10:00 a.m.
- Last Names G-L: 10:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
- Last Names M-S: 1:00 p.m.-2:30 p.m.
- Last Names T-Z: 3:00 p.m.-4:30 p.m.
Sophomore (10th) Schedule Pick-Up – Friday, August 14th
- Last Names A-L – 8:30-11:30 a.m.
- Last Names M-Z – 12:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m.
Los Fresnos High School Junior (11th) Orientation and Senior (12th) Schedule Pick Up: All juniors and seniors are strongly encouraged to attend orientation and schedule pick-up at the Los Fresnos High School Gymnasium. The following are the dates and times for each:
Seniors (12) Schedule Pick-Up – Thursday, August 6th
- 9:00 a.m.–11:00 a.m.
Juniors (11th) Orientation/Schedule Pick-Up – Friday, August 7th
- Last Names A-L – 9:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m.
- Last Names M-Z: 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
Back to School Nights
Campuses will host Back to School nights the first week of September. Students and families are welcome to attend on the following dates and times:
- Tuesday, September 8th: All Middle Schools, 6:00-7:30 p.m.
- Wednesday, September 9th: Los Fresnos United and Los Fresnos High School, 6:00-7:30 p.m.
- Thursday, September 10th: All Elementary Schools, 6:00-7:30 p.m.
