Student Records for the School Year 2020 – 2021
In accordance with the United States statues, the Los Fresnos Consolidated Independent School District will destroy special education records on May 21, 2026. These individual student records contain confidential data including, but not limited, to the following: individual education plans, evaluations for eligibility for special education and ARD committee meeting records/forms. The information contained in this file may be needed for social security benefits or other purposes in the future. Therefore, this correspondence serves as notification to the parents and/or adult student an opportunity to obtain their records.
The parent/guardian or eligible (adult) student may request a file of the records by contacting the
Special Services Department at (956) 254-5104 / 254-5106 on or before April 3, 2026.

These individual student records contain confidential data including but not limited to the following: individual accommodation plans, evaluations for eligibility for Section 504 and Section 504 committee meetings records/forms. The information contained in this file may be needed for Social Security benefits or other purposes in the future. Therefore, this correspondence serves as notification to the parents and/or adult students that graduated school year 2020-2021 to provide them with an opportunity to obtain their records.
The parent/guardian or eligible adult student may request a file of the records by contacting the Special Services Department at (956) 254-5107 / 254-5100 on or before April 2, 2026.

Notificación Pública sobre la Destrucción de Expedientes de Estudiantes de Educación Especial para el Año Escolar 2020-2021
De conformidad con las leyes de Estados Unidos, el Distrito Escolar Independiente Consolidado de Los Fresnos destruirá los expedientes de educación especial el 21 de Mayo de 2026. Estos expedientes estudiantiles individuales contienen información confidencial, incluyendo, entre otros, los siguientes: planes educativos individuales, evaluaciones de elegibilidad para educación especial y actas/formularios de reuniones del comité ARD. La información contenida en este archivo podría ser necesaria para beneficios del seguro social u otros fines en el futuro. Por lo tanto, esta correspondencia sirve como notificación a los padres y/o estudiantes adultos brindándoles la oportunidad de obtener sus expedientes.
El padre/tutor o estudiante adulto elegible puede solicitar el archivo de los expedientes comunicándose con el Departamento de Servicios Especiales al (956) 254-5104 / 254-5106 a más tardar el 3 de Abril de 2026.
