Los Fresnos CISD will once again host its annual “Cosecha de Libros” Biliteracy Night, a vibrant celebration that promotes literacy among families, the community, and bilingual learners.
This year’s event will take place on Thursday, November 6, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at the lawn of Leo Aguilar Memorial Stadium, located at 100 Stadium Dr.
Attendees can look forward to an evening filled with creativity and connection. All district campuses will host themed booths inspired by children’s books, transforming stories into colorful, interactive displays that bring reading to life.
In addition, Los Fresnos CISD departments and community organizations will be on hand to share valuable resources and information for families. Guests will also enjoy delicious treats, engaging activities, and plenty of opportunities for students and parents to celebrate the joy of reading together.
“Our Biliteracy Night is a celebration of language, learning, and culture,” said Rosemary Leal, Bilingual Education Director at Los Fresnos CISD. “We are proud to see our students and families come together to honor the beauty of bilingualism. When students learn to value both of their languages, they gain confidence, connection, and a deeper appreciation for their heritage.”
“Cosecha de Libros” continues to highlight the importance of bilingualism and the rich cultural heritage that makes the Los Fresnos community so unique.
