Los Fresnos CISD is launching a heartfelt initiative, “Coins for California,” to help victims of the devastating California wildfires. This community-wide campaign, supported by the Los Fresnos CISD Education Foundation and the Rotary Club of Los Fresnos, invites students, families, and residents to give monetary donations to support relief efforts.
Campaign Details
The “Coins for California” campaign will run from Monday, January 13, to Wednesday, February 13. Donations will be collected at all Los Fresnos CISD campuses and will be turned over to the American Red Cross, which is providing emergency assistance, food, shelter, and long-term recovery support to those impacted by the fires.
Los Fresnos CISD is supporting American Red Cross to help people affected by California Wildfires. This support enables the Red Cross to prepare for, respond to and help people recover from this disaster.
“We want to show our support for the people of California during this challenging time,” said Dr. Gonzalo Salazar, Superintendent of Los Fresnos CISD. “This is a simple yet powerful way for our community to make a difference. It will also help to instill in our students the attributes of the Profile of a Graduate and Profile of a Leader.”
