Los Fresnos CISD welcomes Kathleen Hollon as the new Executive Director of Talent Development and Support Services.

Kathleen’s journey in education is marked by significant accomplishments and a commitment to fostering growth in both students and educators. She has spent the past decade in high school campus administration, serving in Harlingen and San Benito CISD.

Before stepping into administrative roles, she was a behavior specialist and special education teacher 11 years as in Harlingen CISD, where she made a profound impact on students' lives.

A proud graduate of Texas A&M University, Kathleen earned her Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis on special education. She later pursued her Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Lamar University, solidifying her foundation as an effective leader in the educational sector.

In her new role at Los Fresnos CISD, Kathleen will oversee crucial areas such as Career and Technical Education (CTE) and Bilingual Education, where her extensive background will be instrumental in developing programs.

"The goal of these programs is to enhance diversity and inclusion. Together, we will empower every student to thrive and succeed in a connected world,” said Hollon.

Hollon will also oversee the implementation of the Los Fresnos CISD Leadership Initiative, which includes opportunities for professional development for all employees. Her vision is to promote a culture of collaboration and excellence, where every student has the opportunity to thrive. "Serving our students is at the heart of what we do. It is our responsibility to create an environment where they feel valued and empowered to succeed," said Hollon.
