Los Fresnos CISD Welcomes New Members to Administration Team

Los Fresnos CISD is proud to announce the selection of two new members of the district administrative team that will lead the Bilingual Education and Gifted and Talented programs.

Mrs. Rosemary Leal has been named Bilingual Education Director for Los Fresnos CISD.

Mrs. Rosemary Martinez has been named the Gifted and Talented Coordinator for Los Fresnos CISD.

The ladies, who were promoted from their respective positions at Olmito Elementary School, have been approved by the Board of Trustees.

 

Mrs. Rosemary Leal, Bilingual Education Director

Mrs. Rosemary Leal will serve the students and staff of Los Fresnos CISD as the Bilingual Education Director. Mrs. Leal transitions to this position after serving as an elementary principal in the Los Fresnos CISD for the last 12 years.

Mrs. Leal has 21 years of experience in public education to her role. Her career in public education includes service as a teacher, administrator, principal at Los Fresnos Elementary and Olmito Elementary Schools.

Leal received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from The University of Texas at San Antonio. In 2004, she received a Master of Educational Administration at The University of Texas at Brownsville

 

Mrs. Rosemary Martinez, GT Coordinator

Mrs. Rosemary Martinez will serve the students and staff of Los Fresnos CISD as the GT Coordinator. She has been a part of the Los Fresnos CISD family since 2001.

Mrs. Martinez has 22 years of experience in public education. Her career in public education includes service as a teacher, Media Specialist, Instructional Officer at Olmito Elementary, and Assistant Principal at Olmito Elementary.

Martinez received her Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Learning and Development from The University of Texas at Austin and received her Masters of Library Information Sciences degree from Sam Houston State University. She has also completed the Principal Certification program at Lamar University.
