Los Fresnos CISD PD Active Shooter Training Notice

The Los Fresnos Consolidated Independent School District Police Department will participate in the Customs and Border Protection Active Shooter Training Program (ASTP). The training will take place on Monday, August 8 and Tuesday, August 9 at Los Cuates Middle School. The training is part of ongoing proactive and collaborative efforts to ensure that staff prepared to rapidly respond to a reported active shooter emergency.

The Los Fresnos CISD Police Department has been communicating and working with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies this summer to create contingency plans in the event of campus emergencies. This training will allow them to gain further education in a classroom setting, then execute a simulated real-world exercise. Due to this training exercise, the public will see increased law enforcement presence at LCMS on these days as officers from multiple agencies participate in the training exercise.

LFCISD PD is committed to the well-being of our students, staff, and parents. We ask for your support as we work with our law enforcement partners to meet our safety goals. Thank you to the various agencies who continue to strive to make Los Fresnos and our district a safe place for our children.
