The Los Fresnos High School Track and Field Team is running away with various awards following the 32-6A District track meet.
The competition was held in Weslaco between April 11-13, 2022. The Boys and Girls Track and Field Team finished fourth as a team and had various individual athletes that qualified for the upcoming Area meet.
District Championships included Ayelen Torvik on the Ladies team, who finished first in the 800m dash. The Ladies 4x200 Relay team of Kathleene Salazar, Adriana Garza, Eliana Vasquez, Penny Alanis broke a 39-year-old 32-6A District Meet record with their time of 1:45.22.
Boys Pole Vaulter Thomas Sandoval also took home a District title with a 12’6” jump.
