The Los Fresnos CISD Superintendent Dr. Gonzalo Salazar announces the inaugural class of the Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council (SSAC) at LFCISD. The S.S.A.C. is a group comprised of twenty-eight students who will meet directly with the Superintendent and Administrative staff. The goal is to maintain direct communication with students who can provide valuable insight into how we can improve their overall campus and educational experience.

The inaugural meeting was held at the Los Fresnos CISD Board Room on Thursday, March 31, 2022.

Student Advisory Council

The Student Advisory Council at Los Fresnos C.I.S.D. was created as an extension of a strategic planning process that involved student and parent focus groups. It was there that Dr. Salazar saw an opportunity to continue a direct stream of dialogue with students who can give feedback. As a former educator, he knows student success starts in the classroom and on campus. The Student Advisory Council will allow students to advocate for their needs, create positive educational experiences, foster leadership skills, and promote district growth as ideas are implemented.
