It's back-to-school time!
About 10,500 students will report to campuses for the start of the 2021-22 school year on Monday, Aug. 16.
Los Fresnos CISD will operate with in-person instruction only, as per Texas Education Agency mandates. There will be no virtual instruction.
Here are some important notices for parents:
- Academic Calendar: Follow this link for all important dates for the 2021-22 school year.
- Link to School Supply List: Follow this link for school supplies required for all grade levels.
- Dress Code: Follow this link for the new Dress Code, which is pending Board approval with the Student Handbooks on August 9.
- Elementary School Meet the Teacher day: All elementary campuses will host Meet-the-Teacher round-ups Friday, Aug. 13. Most schools are meeting from 2-4 p.m., but a few meet from 1-3 p.m. Contact your campus for more information.
- Middle School Student Orientation: All students and their parents are strongly encouraged to attend the appropriate session.
- Liberty Memorial Middle School: Tuesday, August 10, School Gym. 7th and 8th Grade 5:30 p.m.; 6th Grade 7 p.m.
- Los Cuates Middle School: Tuesday, August 10, School Gym. 7th and 8th Grade 5:30 p.m.; 6th Grade 7 p.m.
- Resaca Middle School: Tuesday, August 10, School Gym. 8th Grade 5:30 p.m., 7th Grade 6:15 p.m. 6th Grade 7 p.m.
- Los Fresnos United Freshman and Sophomore Orientation: All freshmen and sophomores and their parents are strongly encouraged to attend the appropriate session.
- Thursday, Aug. 5: Sophomores with last names A-L – 9 a.m.
- Thursday, Aug. 5: Sophomores with last names M-Z – 1 p.m.
- Friday, Aug. 6: Freshmen with last names A-L – 9 a.m.
- Friday, Aug. 6: Freshmen with last names M-Z – 1 p.m.
- Los Fresnos High School Junior and Senior Orientation: All juniors and seniors and their parents are strongly encouraged to attend the appropriate session.
- Wednesday, Aug. 4: Seniors – 9 a.m. or 1 p.m.
- Thursday, Aug. 5: Juniors – 9 a.m. or 1 p.m.
