Los Fresnos area walkers and joggers have an old place to work out again.
Leo Aguilar Memorial Stadium will be open for the community again starting Monday, April 19 for community members who wish to walk and jog around the stadium track.
The new hours will be effective Mondays through Thursdays on the following schedule:
- Mornings: 6 to 8 a.m.
- Evenings: 4:30 to 8 p.m.
There will be lights around the stadium that will be on during the times of the year when those hours may be in darkness. The stadium field is not available for use.
The stadium track had been closed to walkers and joggers for more than one year because of the COVID-19 pandemic restricting access to school district facilities.
