Los Fresnos High School senior Katia Mendoza will represent all students in south Texas at the DECA International Career Development Conference after qualifying at the state level.
Mendoza ranked among the top in her individual series "Quick Service Restaurant Management" category at the State DECA Conference held virtually in February.
The International Conference will be held virtually April 19-23. There were 750 qualifiers from Texas, but Mendoza was the only qualifier in the 19-county region that stretches roughly from south of a line from Laredo to Corpus Christi.
