All Los Fresnos CISD campuses and district offices will be closed Monday, Feb. 15 for Presidents Day, the holiday honoring George Washington and Abraham Lincoln.
Presidents Day was established in 1885 in recognition of President George Washington, but became a federal holiday and is viewed by many states to celebrate all U.S. presidents, past and present.
Normal district operations will resume Tuesday, Feb. 16. The next holiday for students and staff will be Spring Break March 15-19.
