Los Fresnos CISD Back to School Guide

Los Fresnos CISD staff is ready to welcome our students back to campus for the 2023-2024 school year on Monday, August 14^th.

The district and campuses are ready to help you get prepared for the upcoming school year!  Here are some important dates to know about:

Elementary School:

• Elementary School Meet the Teacher Round-Up: All elementary campuses will host Meet the Teacher Round-Ups on Friday, August 11^th. The campuses will be open to parents and students from 2-4 p.m.  Contact your campus for more information.

Middle School:

• Middle School Meet the Teacher Night: All students and their parents are invited to meet their teacher, pick up their schedules, and walk through campus on Thursday, August 10 at the following times:

• 6th Grade: 3-4 pm

• 7th Grade: 4-5 pm

• 8th Grade: 5-6 pm 

High School:

• Los Fresnos United Freshman Camp and Sophomore Schedule Pick-Up: All freshmen and sophomores are strongly encouraged to attend orientation and schedule pick-up.  The following are the dates and times for each:
• Freshman Camp – Thursday, August 3^rd

• A-L – 8:30-11:30 a.m.

• M-Z – 1:00-4:00 p.m.

• Sophomore Schedule Pick-Up – Friday, August 11^th

• A-L – 8:30-11:30 a.m.

• M-Z – 1:00-4:00 p.m.

• Los Fresnos High School Junior and Senior Schedule Pick Up: 

• Incoming 12^th graders- August 9^th 9am-11am and 1pm-3pm 

• Incoming 11^th graders- August 10^th 9am-11am and 1pm-3pm

• Back to School Nights: Campuses will host Back to School nights the first week of September.  Students and families are welcome to attend on the following dates and times:  

• Tuesday, September 5^th – All Middle Schools, 6-7:30 p.m.

• Wednesday, September 6^th – Los Fresnos United and Los Fresnos High School, 6-7:30 p.m.

• Thursday, September 7^th – All Elementary Schools, 6-7:30 p.m..

• Back to School Community and Safety Fair: The Los Fresnos CISD Family Engagement Department will host a Community and Safety Fair on Thursday, August 3^rd at the Los Fresnos United Dome from 6-8 p.m.
