Welcome from the Superintendent

On behalf of the Board of Trustees, our staff, and students, welcome to Los Fresnos CISD!

We invite you to review our Board-adopted guiding documents that include our Mission, Vision, Core Beliefs, Goals, and Profile of a Graduate – all of which illustrate our passion for creating opportunities for students to experience success – the “why” we do what we do.

We are extremely proud of our students’ achievements and celebrate every national, state and district honor they attain. We are also proud of every milestone and step that our students take in their own educational journey. We strive each day to draw upon the funds of knowledge that students bring from home and tap into the richness of the cultural capital that they possess to create learning experiences that are meaningful and challenging.

The Los Fresnos CISD Profile of a Graduate was developed with student and staff input and adopted by the Board of Trustees. This profile defines the skills and attributes that a Los Fresnos CISD graduate should possess upon graduation. We firmly believe that education does not merely serve the public; it produces the public. We work with a moral imperative to provide every student a quality educational experience that builds an academic foundation and enrich the experience with programs that build character and resolve. We strive to ensure our graduates are equipped with skills to be good people, servant leaders, effective communicators, critical thinkers, compassionate citizens, collaborative team members, and life-long learners.
