LFHS Swim Team Earn Medals at Regionals, Ashford Advances to State

 The Los Fresnos High School Falcon Swim team competed in the UIL Regional Championships over the weekend, with students earning medals in personal best performances.

 

Senior Jada Ashford won gold in the 100-yard Butterfly and in the 50-yard Freestyle, where she broke the regional record and earned All-American Honors.  Ashford now advances to the State Swimming Championship at UT Austin for the fourth consecutive year.

 

Senior Ariana Mancillas earned the Bronze medal in the 200 Individual medley.  

 

Sophomore Daniel Canales broke the Los Fresnos High School record in the Breaststroke with a time of 1:02. 

The Falcon Girls relay team earned the Bronze Medal in the 200 Freestyle Relay.  Members of the relay team include: Angela Reynolds, Jada Ashford, Ariana Mancillas and Anahi Garrido.
