What is the DLA?

DLA is an acronym for our Digital Learning Academy. The DLA is a one year academy which will support, enhance, and train teachers in developing the knowledge and skills needed in technology implementation. Teachers will explore effective research based educational technology pedgagoy, collaborate with the Digital Learning Specialist team, and support your campus in the learning process. 

DLA Goals

The DLA Goals are:

  • Learn from research based best practices in the pedagogy of technological integration. 
  • Effectively implement technology usage in your classroom for your students and to showcase to others the impact it has on engagement and learning. 
  • Implement technological tools and resources based on the needs of your campus. 
  • Develop a campus initiative, or plan for your school, to increase the integration of technology. 
DLA Cohort Expectations

If selected as a member of the DLA Cohort 2, you will be expected to:

  • Train, model, and support technology implementation within your campus. 
  • Develop a campus educational technology initiative project to be completed by May. 
  • Collaborate with the district level Digital Learning Specialist Team for the roll out of educational technology programs.
  • Showcase your classroom and activities at the district and campus level via professional learning and/or by uploading video recordings. 
DLA Cohort Commitments

DLA Cohort Commitments:

  • Attend monthly professional learning sessions focused on digital learning, educational technology leadership, and the impact of effective implementation. The sessions will be held after school hours.
