Public Advocacy Presentations
Los Fresnos CISD has brought together a core group of advocates, composed of stakeholders, that are being informed on the key issues that impact public education. Through regular meetings, the group learns about the legislative process and what issues are at the forefront of the 89th Legislative Session. These meetings provide a platform for members to deepen their understanding of how state legislation works and to stay up-to-date on proposed bills and policies that could affect schools and students. The group also works to ensure they know who represents them in Austin, strengthening connections between local communities and state policymakers. By advocating for policies that benefit students, teachers, and families, the group may ensure that public education continues to thrive and meet the needs of all learners.
