Disciplinary Alternative Education Centers

As a commitment to education, the Los Fresnos CISD operates two alternative education centers for students who have been removed from their regular campus:   

• Associated Marine Institute (AMI) Kids-Rio Grande Valley
• Disciplinary Alternative Education Program (DAEP)

The Centers provide meaningful educational experiences for assigned students in a well-disciplined environment that provides consistency, structure, targeted instruction, and support-related services so that each student will grow intellectually, socially, and emotionally.

Students are still enrolled in the Los Fresnos CISD but will continue striving towards graduation with the assistance of dedicated administrative team, highly-qualified teachers, and committed staff members.  Meals, textbooks, and TEKS-based instruction are continuous services offered to students during their placement.
