Graduation Enhancement
The Migrant Education Program (MEP) promotes the transition to postsecondary education through the promotion of students’ leadership opportunities, college readiness support, statewide assessment performance improvement activities, credit accrual, counseling, and coordination of activities that will ensure that all migrant students are informed about postsecondary opportunities and criteria.
Graduation Plan Support
Los Fresnos CISD administrators, counselors, teachers, and staff provide graduation plan support by:

developing individualized migrant student action plans,
-
providing leadership for coordination of services,
-
monitoring course completion for Priority for Services students with late entry and/or early withdrawal,
-
reviewing and enforcing district migrant policies and procedures concerning students with late entry and/or early withdrawal,
-
intervening on behalf of students whose concerns put their academic success at risk,
-
ensuring that migrant students and parents are receiving timely information and assistance regarding the college application process, including scholarship opportunities and financial aid, and
- providing migrant extracurricular clubs
The Migrant Education Program provides supplemental graduation plan support above and beyond what is provided by the regular staff.
