Parental Involvement

The District-wide Migrant Parent Advisory Council (Migrant PAC) is an advisory group composed of parents of migrant children. The role of the Migrant PAC is to provide meaningful consultation in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of Migrant Education Program activities and services that help to meet the educational needs of migrant children. The members follow Migrant PAC by-laws established by the district.

The Migrant PAC is invited to comment and make recommendations on:

  • improving the Priority for Services Action Plan;
  • improving programs and services offered to migrant children;
  • improving evaluation of the migrant program;
  • increasing the quantity and quality of parental involvement; and
  • considering other items which may be appropriate to the role of the Migrant PAC.

 All recommendations made by the Migrant PAC are presented to the Federal Programs' Director for consideration and appropriate action.

For information, contact the Parental Involvement Director at 956-254-5091 or 956-254-5092.
