High Schools

Los Fresnos High School is actually one school with two campuses. Los Fresnos High School serves students in grades 11 and 12 and Los Fresnos United serves students in Grades 9 and 10.

Los Fresnos CISD received the 2020 College Board Advanced Placement (AP) District of the Year for mid-sized school districts in 2020. The award is given to three school districts annually for the achievements by their high school students who expanded access to AP courses while simultaneously improving AP Exam performance – particularly for traditionally underrepresented minority students. LFHS is also a past recipient of the Gaston Caperton Award by the College Board

Students graduating in the LFHS Classes of 2018, 2019 and 2020 are attending Ivy League schools Columbia, Harvard, Princeton and Yale and also attending the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). There have been numerous Gates Scholars, AP Scholars and National Hispanic Scholars.
