More than 100 attend Senior Celebration

This is the image for the news article titled More than 100 attend Senior CelebrationThe Senior Celebration, formerly called Baccalaureate, brought more than 100 members of the Class of 2019 together for a religious service that featured students who attend and pastors who represent seven Los Fresnos churches of different denominations Wednesday at the Los Fresnos High School Theater.

The students wore their caps and gowns for the first time in preparation for Commencement May 25 at Leo Aguilar Memorial Stadium.

Delivering the Baccalaureate message was Pastor Chris Edge, the music teacher at Palmer-Laakso Elementary School, whose topic to graduates was about their “Master Plan.” Edge was introduced by his daughter Carly Edge who is a senior.

Senior Chris Rivera delivered the Senior Message on behalf of students.

Seniors who attend the seven churches represented spoke about how the churches have influenced their lives. The students then introduced their pastors.

Twenty-three Los Fresnos-area businesses and individuals donated 58 gift cards that were given away to the graduates as door prizes.
