First LFHS NTHS inducts 52 students

This is the image for the news article titled First LFHS NTHS inducts 52 studentsFifty-two Los Fresnos High School students were inducted into the first National Technical Honor Society in a ceremony Wednesday.

The students are taking classes in one of the many Career and Technical Education (CTE) classes at LFHS. NTHS has been the acknowledged leader in the recognition of outstanding student achievement in career and technical education for more than 30 years.

NTHS serves approximately 100,000 active members around the country and nearly a million members since its inception in 1984. NTHS honors the achievements of top CTE students, provides scholarships to encourage the pursuit of higher education, and cultivates excellence in today’s highly competitive, skilled workforce.

Thirty-two seniors and 20 juniors received their certificates for participation. The LFHS NTHS is in its first year.

Lane Thomae is chapter president, Eloy Guerrero vice president, Kaitlyn Mata parliamentarian, Robert Ruiz treasurer and Alexis Luna secretary. Mindy Quiroz and Melissa Rendon are chapter sponsors.
