The report was presented at a Public Hearing before the Los Fresnos CISD Board of Trustees' meeting Monday.

Student performance was one of the sections of TAPR that showed student academic progress, and college readiness statistics also showed that District students exceed region and state averages in all areas. Staff demographics, student demographics and other campus reports were also presented.

The report showed that Los Fresnos CISD students exceeded regional and state averages on several areas:

  • Reading: District 81%, Region 69%, State 72%
  • Mathematics: District 88%, Region 81%, State 79%
  • Writing: District 80%, Region 70%, State 67%
  • Science: District 91%, Region 79%, State 79%
  • Social Studies: District 84%, Region 75%, State 77%
STAAR EOC– Approaches Grade Level
  • English I: District 74%, Region 59%, State 64%
  • English II: District 75%, Region 61%, State 66%
  • Algebra I: District 91%, Region 85%, State 85%
  • Biology: District 93%, Region 84%, State 86%
  • U.S. History: District 93%, Region 89%, State 91%

STAAR – Meets Grade Level Performance (All grades)

  • Reading: District 57%, Region 44%, State 48%
  • Mathematics: District 63%, Region 49%, State 48%
  • Writing: District 51%, Region 40%, State 38%
  • Science: District 68%, Region 49%, State 52%
  • Social Studies: District 60%, Region 45%, State 51%
  • Two or more subjects: District 60%, Region 45%, State 48%
